Premiership Three 20 September 2008Ardrossan Accies 21 Ellon 29ELLON collected it’s first win on the road with an impressive performance to move above their Ardrossan opponents in the league.Head coach Kevin Wyness was happy to have registered a first away from home, but was most frustrated by the stop start nature of the game, not helped by a fussy referee who saw fit to dish out four yellow games and awarded 31 penalties.''It spoiled the flow of the game and although we won we never really got into our stride, as my opposite number agreed,'' said Wyness who was again delighted with the performance of his front row of Bobby Kenny, Nicki Fraser and Michael Cox and his second row who controlled the lineout.The stand out back was right winger Ben Hickie, although the Aberdeenshire's tries came from Nicki Fraser and Al Blake.Stand off Mark Ryan clocked up his expected tally of points which included four penalties and a conversion.James Young kicked a conversion and a penalty when Ryan was sin - binned and also went off injured.Pleasingly for Wyness the decision making of the side was good, boding well for the game with Dunfermline this coming weekend. ''It's all falling into place,'' said an optimistic Wyness.By the end of the month Ellon expect to have its walking wounded back in the training paddock and hopefully back in the side by next month.
